Welcome to the home of the 2011-2012 Bastrop High School Percussion Section.  The Bastrop Percussion program centers around the Bastrop Bear Band Drumline and the Bastrop High School Percussion ensemble.  All percussion students also perform in the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, or Concert Band performing ensembles.   

We are also proud to announce that our first indoor season has come to an end, and the Bastrop High School Indoor Drumline "Momentum" has been named the TCGC Division SAA Champions!

What is Indoor Drumline?

     Indoor drumline is a competitive musical sport that began in the early 90’s that combines elements of marching band, dance, and theater.  The performance space is a 60’ x 90’ area that usually takes place on a basketball court.  Essentially the drumline and front ensemble perform a piece of music 4-6 minutes in length while marching within the set space, and are judged on three categories:  Musical Performance, Visual Performance, and General Effect.
